Signature Fire Visits Cloudforest Six: Making Every Day Earth Day in Querrin

Some partnerships are talked about. The best ones put down roots.

We were delighted to welcome David Caffrey of Signature Fire Protection Ltd to Cloudforest Six at Querrin, County Clare — the latest site in the growing Cloudforests network of native woodlands along Ireland's west coast.

David and Signature Fire are part of our CoolPartner community, a group of businesses choosing to take practical, positive climate action by helping us put more native trees into the Irish landscape.

And there is something particularly rewarding about getting out of the office and standing among the trees that partnership is helping to create.

Welcome to Cloudforest Six

Cloudforest Six is located at Querrin in West Clare, close to the Shannon Estuary and the Atlantic coast.

Here, our aim is simple: create a new native woodland that can grow, develop and become part of the landscape for generations.

Rather than talking about what might be done for nature in the future, we're doing something tangible today — planting trees and creating new habitat.

As the woodland develops, it will become home to native trees, plants, insects, birds and wildlife, while also capturing carbon and adding another pocket of native woodland to the Irish countryside.

The most exciting part?

This Cloudforest is only beginning.

From CoolPartner to Cloudforest

Signature Fire's involvement demonstrates what our Cloudforests CoolPartner programme is all about.

It allows businesses to become directly involved in the creation of native Irish woodland and to bring their employees, customers and communities on that journey with them.

Visiting Cloudforest Six gave David the opportunity to see the landscape first-hand and experience where those trees are actually growing.

There are no virtual forests here.

No trees planted somewhere we'll never see.

These are real trees, on real land, creating real native woodland in Ireland.
